An Ocean Tug/Barge Unit pumps out a cargo of Liquid asphalt for a Port tennant. These are called "units" because the barge has a notch in the stern that the tug gets into and secures to the barge with steel cables. If the sea conditions get too rough then the tug comes out of the "notch" and puts the barge on a tow-line and tows it astern.
