Tank Barges Pump out at the Port of Pensacola
 The M/V Dorthy Lee with 2 tank barges pumps out diesel fuel at the Port of Pensacola. The tug is owned by Magnolia Marine and the barges are the MM-42 & MM-45. Much of the Diesel Fuel, gasoline and ashpalt used in the Pensacola area comes in by barge to local terminals. One barge can carry the equivalent of many trucks and is a much safer way to transport fuel. Water transportation has an excellent safety record; much better than truck or pipeline. |
